Your Teacher's Background
Molly Mikulski is a teacher, designer, parent and sports enthusiast. She cares about the community and offering her knowledge to better the quality of life for kids in Northern Virginia is her mission. After years of working in the private sector for graphic design firms, advertising agencies, a television post production company, and a newspaper Ms. Mikulski gained knowledge and wanted to share it.
She volunteered at Kindercare learning centers for 2 years teaching 3 - 6 year olds art of specific artists. In addition in over 20 years of teaching kids aged 3 - 17 sports it became obvious that she had experience that could be used to do just that.
Using the experience noted above, she taught art for the Fairfax County Parks and Recreation Department. Ms. Mikulski worked there for 3 years teaching classes such as Pottery (handbuilding), Beginning Drawing, Principles of Drawing and Painting, Nature and Art, Cartooning Basics, Principles of Stop Motion Animation, and more.
She continues to enjoy the fresh point of view kids offer & the final outcome for every student that takes her class.
"Kids offer a unique perspective in life, they are open to new ideas and offer a simple agenda. Have fun and learn. That's what we do in all of our classes."
